How You Can Be a Part

What to Expect
If you've never marched in a parade before, expect to be on your feet for a several hours - the parade route is approximately 2 miles. Anyone participating in the parade must be in place by 8:30am (or arrive at 7:30am to help us decorate). If you would like to participate but are unable to walk the 2 miles, no worries! We have a trailer that can pull 12 people. When you RSVP, please let us know you need a ride. Once we know our exact parade position from the city, we will notify all those that have signed up.
Can't make it to the parade but still want to help? We need lots of CANDY! You can drop off candy donations starting with our May monthly support meeting. Hard candy only (no chocolate and no suckers...or anything with a stick). Skittles, Starbursts, and Smarties are great options. You may also call 901.218.4539 to arrange a donation drop off.
A Few Final Notes

Wear whatever makes you comfortable but know this is a family friendly parade. Pride themed apparel is always welcome.

As is the nature of Georgia in July, the days will be be quite warm! Please consider bringing snacks or a water bottle, as there will be none available during the parade.
Kids
Bring them! But know they have to walk the entire route. They can also be in a stroller or wagon.
Transportation
The parade begins just north of the Braelinn Golf Course on Peachtree Parkway and ends near the McIntosh Trail Recreation Center. You are responsible for getting yourself back to your car. No transportation is provided.
