What would you do if the state of Georgia stopped you from obtaining medical or mental healthcare for your LQBTQ+ child?
In February 2022, Texas Governor Greg Abbott issued a directive stating that healthcare necessary for treating gender dysphoria should be considered abuse. If you are outraged by this, we hope you’ll consider becoming a member of PFLAG Peachtree City.
PFLAG National filed a lawsuit against Governor Abbott and the Department of Family and Protective Services. The outcome of this lawsuit could affect children throughout our country, including right here in Georgia.
For 50 years, PFLAG has fought to secure equal rights and freedoms for the LGBTQ+ community. This important advocacy work is life-giving and life-changing, but it is not free. It costs money to employ staff, hire lawyers, and pay for travel to garner legislative and corporate support and develop/print publications.
PFLAG National is only as powerful as its membership total. By becoming a member of PFLAG Peachtree City, you are supporting our national organization and joining over 325,000 members from 400 chapters across the country (11 in Georgia).
Don’t wait until Georgia starts interfering with how we can parent LGBTQ+ children. Become a PFLAG Peachtree City member today and help us fight for equal rights for all.
For every $50 given towards membership, one free PFLAG Peachtree City t-shirt
will be included!
Thank you for your support.

OTHER WAYS TO SUPPORT US
If you share PFLAG’s vision to create a world where all people are valued inclusive of their sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression, please consider becoming a member.
Attend a third Thursday (of the month) support meeting to give/receive hope and encouragement. Our meetings are for LGBTQ people as well as their parents, families, friends, and allies. Many people feel isolated because they fear rejection and therefore cannot talk with family or friends.
Support meetings offer a kind, accepting, and confidential environment where you can share your personal story and find comfort in learning that others have had similar experiences.
Your story may encourage someone who is despondent and thus give meaning and purpose to your struggles.
The ability to transform one person’s suffering into another person’s healing is an unusual, remarkable, and uplifting trait of support meetings and one that keeps people attending long after their personal difficulty or crisis has passed.
Please note – children under age 18 should be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
SPREAD THE WORD!
Tell friends, relatives, and co-workers who are struggling with LGBTQ issues about our support meetings and encourage them to attend. If they are hesitant, volunteer to go with them.
We are an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Your tax-deductible contributions ensure the continuation of the vital work we do locally. Donations can be processed safely and securely online through PayPal by clicking the button below:
